Day 0: Prelude
If you're reading this, I want to say thank you. Whether you followed me from my very first blog, The Built Man (shoutout to Tumblr), to Millennial Aspirations, to this site now.
It's been a fun journey so far. I'm happy that I'm entering into a new phase in life.
The last 7-8 months of life have taught me a couple of lessons:
The importance of rests
Doing the right thing at the wrong time
The consequences of a lack of self-discipline
Today, right now, marks a new beginning. Nothing special has happened, no defining event has occurred.
I am simply taking my life in the direction of my choosing. I hope to write about and film it each and every day.
A good way to get the ball rolling is to track my journey in exercising and weight loss. A couple of weeks ago, I was 170 lbs. I'm now down to 162.
My target goal is 155. I hope to reach that by the end of February, then begin bulking to put on muscle and achieve 10% body fat (any lower would be unhealthy for my frame).
I'm excited. I can't wait to see what I become.
