Day 107: Pivoting To Covering Content Creators

This isn't really much of an official announcement - it's more like a heads up.

Building off of my blog post yesterday, I mentioned that I don't want to be writing tech stories on Forbes forever. I want to spend more time writing on founders on my newsletter instead.

That doesn't mean I'm completely shutting down my contribution to Forbes.

Just like a founder, I'm deciding to pivot. I want to start covering content creators now. I've always been fascinated with YouTubers, Viners, IG stars, etc. I think that the mainstream is taking social media more seriously, but not all creators - only the "cream of the crop," or to be blunt, the most advertiser-friendly.

There are tons of other creators with sizeable followings (1M+ on a single or across platforms) that have a greater audience and reach than most mainstream outlets.

I want to cover those creators. I'm taking a risk here, but I did so with Pokimane, and it paid off. No one from Forbes said a word - and people loved the story.

I'll be reaching out to three content creators who I think would be a good stepping stone to further immerse myself deeper in the ecosystem.

Hopefully, I'll have more to share soon!
