Day #17: Emerging Out Of Grad School Mode
I caught up with a colleague that I originally connected within Boston this weekend.
Over a nice meal of chicken, waffles, and watermelon, we updated each other about our lives and current aspirations.
When I was telling her about my goals surrounding writing and VC, she asked me, "Why don't you just do that right now? You have the network developed for it!"
Her sentiment wasn't anything new, but to hear another person tell you that your goals and dreams are realistic instead of idealistic is wonderful.
It makes me think that I'm starting to grow into my post-grad life. I'm not obsessed about getting a thesis done or writing a bunch of content for Forbes anymore.
I'm focused more on doing my own thing through growing my Substack mailing list, Founder to Founder.
I'm focused more on sleeping well and getting daily exercise. I'm focused more on exercising my creativity every single day.
Life is good and getting better.
This weekend was the first weekend I truly felt like I was fully enjoying life as it's been presented to me since graduating.
I'm going to keep it that way.
