Day 27: My Call of Duty Gameplay Revealed Something About Me
I just came up with this metaphor that links my recent 3 AM Call of Duty (CoD) gaming session to my life while vlogging this morning.
Like two days ago, I was staying up late playing CoD Warzone till 3 AM. I haven't done that in years.
My team only won one game out of the 10+ we played. I was the last player standing from my team out of ~150 players (~35-38 teams) in the game we won. I had to come up with a quick chain of four kills in the final circle to win it.
We didn't win after that. I had one flash of brilliance and then was more or less a dud for the rest.
I think that describes my life in a funny, uncanny way. I have my moments of excellence (like everyone else) from time to time. Unfortunately, I struggle to be consistent in key areas of my life (like getting sleep). One of my good friends (and teammate from the game we won) specifically said, "Fred, that's how you should always be playing."
And he's right - if I can show up like that in CoD, or just other areas of my life in general, I'll be unstoppable.
