Day #89: A Brief Review of The Past ~10 Months In California
I'm going to keep this brief since I have a flight to catch tomorrow morning.
Professionally, I'm quite happy with where I am since moving out to California roughly 10 months ago. In the midst of 30M+ Americans unemployed, I still have a job at Boeing. So I got that going for me.
I am currently 7 stories away from reaching 100 stories on Forbes. I finally figured out how to decrease the total amount of time I spend writing for Forbes alone, helping me free up time for other things.
Personally, it's a mixed bag. The good: I was able to hit my goal weight of 155 lbs. The bad: I can't get more than 2 nights worth of good sleep in a row, which has killed all of my other endeavors in coding, personal writing, blogging, exercising, etc.
It's bad. The honest, brutal truth is that I didn't want to change. I talked endlessly about changing but I truly never committed to those necessary changes, and I didn't want to do the work required also.
I feel disappointed because I know that if I had just stuck with those goals from the outset, I would be a different person both mentally and physically. Deep down, I know that I wasted time doing stupid things instead of pursuing my goals.
Tomorrow marks Day 90. I hoped that I would be undeniably better off personally, but that's not the case.
I will stick to my plan to change myself for the next 90 days in tomorrow's blog post, The Great Reset.
